Internet Rights and Principles Coalition

The Dynamic Coalition on Internet Rights and Principles aims to make human rights on the internet and their related duties, specified from the point of view of individual users, a central theme of Internet Governance policy and processes. The coalition welcomes and indeed explicitly seeks particpants from all stakeholder groups, including individuals, civil society groups, the academic sector, governments, intergovernmental organisations, the technical community and the private sector.

More representation in central IGF bodies: Message from the Dynamic Coalition for child safety online #dc9

I’m not sure exactly if readers know what the Dynamic Coalition for child safety online is, so I will provide a succint defintion
based on the one presented in the meeting itself. According to its members, the
DC on child safety online is a group of individuals who, during the IGF, come
together to look at issues related to online safety for children.

What does the IGF mean to the poorest woman and her rights?

Anita Gurumurthy

The transcript of speech of Anita Gurumurthy, executive director of IT for Change and member of IGF Gender Dynamic Coalition, at the closing ceremony of IGF on December 6th. In her contribution to the closing panel, Anita highlighted the words of Mahatma Gandhi - “Before you do anything, stop and recall the face of the poorest most helpless destitute person you have seen and ask yourself, ‘Is what I am about to do, going to help him?’”.
